Live every day like it's Taco Tuesday. That's our mantra.
Did you know that the population of Seguin is primarily Mexican-American? We are very proud of our Latin heritage, and trust me, it shows. With cultural organizations like Teatro de Artes de Juan Seguin, the League of United Latin American Citizens, and endless amounts of delicious Mexican food, Seguin locals love nothing more than to celebrate our vibrant culture.
So when National Taco Day rolls around, we HAVE to celebrate.
Even though it didn't fall on a Tuesday this year, we've gathered 5 awesome taco spots to check out here in Seguin in honor of National Taco Day. Each has its own special flair, so you definitely have to try them ALL.
In no particular order, here is a sampling of the delicious tacos to be found:
El Charro Mexican Restaurant - Known best for their authentic Mexican dishes, El Charro has a variety of taco choices including barbacoa, carnitas, and more! Selene's Mexican Food - A local food truck, Selene's is the place to go for your late-night taco cravings. Open from 7 pm to 1 am, swing by and grab one of their mini taco plates for dinner (or a midnight snack). Address: 319 W. Kingsbury Street Hours: 7 pm to 1 am daily
El Olvido Hacienda - Here you will certainly find Texas-sized servings of delicious Mexican food. Complete with their homemade tortillas, you don't want to skip this stop on your taco tour of Seguin. Address: 632 E. Kingsbury Street Hours: 5:30 am to 2 pm Sun-Wed, 5:30 am to 8 pm Thurs-Sat
Noe's Mexican Cafe - Dine-in or drive-thru and grab some delicious tacos from Noe's. Even though there is almost always a line, you are sure to get great quick service. Address: 1912 N. Austin Street Hours: 5:30 am to 2 pm Mon-Sun
Alex's Tacos - You'd never expect this hole-in-the-wall taco shop to be so delicious, but they are! A staple in Seguin, Alex's Tacos has been celebrating Taco Tuesday with Seguin locals for years! Address: 1214 N. Guadalupe Street Hours: 6 am to 2 pm Mon-Sun
Su Casa Cafe - Another local favorite, Su Casa Cafe has won several local awards and shares our love of tacos. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast tacos or one of their delicious lunch specials, they certainly won't disappoint. Address: 1142 E.
