Whether you're local to Seguin and looking to explore, or a visitor wanting to check us out, we are sure you will have a great time in our historic Texas community.
Here are some top summer must-do items in Seguin:
Get your thrills at ZDT Amusement Park
Did you know that Seguin is home to the world's first (and only) wooden shuttle coaster? The Switchback rollercoaster can be seen towering above the city of Seguin and is quite the thrill for all you adventure-seekers. SPOILER ALERT: it goes forward AND backward!
ZDT's also has a waterpark, go-cart track, arcade, and more! So you can easily spend a full summer day checking it all out.
Splash into Lake Placid at Son's Island
Son's Island is Seguin's very own island paradise. tucked away on the shores of Lake Placid, visitors can rent a cabana for the day and enjoy the water while fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. Pack a cooler with your chosen refreshments and some food to pop on the grill and you will be set to hang out in the hammock with a drink in hand!
If you want to turn a day into the whole weekend, Son's Travel has several vacation rental properties in Seguin like Geronimo Creek Retreat and the brand-new Son's Geronimo.
Play a Round of Disc Golf at Max Starcke Park
Seguin is home to a beautiful, 18-basket disc golf course, and word is quickly getting out. Situated along the Guadalupe River, Max Starcke Park provides a serene spot to hone your disc golf skills under the shade of pecan trees. Not sure how to play? Swing by Seguin's new outfitter, Pecan City Disc Golf, to talk to the pros.
